Julie began her career with Northwestern Mutual in 2003 and joined Toby’s team in 2021. Armed with 20+ years in financial services, she is fully licensed in Illinois Life & Health insurance. Julie attended Western Illinois University for her B.S. degree and MBA.

As the Director of Operations, Julie dedicates her efforts to managing the team and ensuring seamless operations, all to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients. She actively joins in most client meetings, offering live support and helping to gain a comprehensive understanding of each client’s financial aspirations.

Julie hails from Hinsdale, IL but now calls Darien home, where she lives with her husband and three sons. A devoted hockey mom, she often spends her free time cheering for her boys at various ice rinks around the Chicago-land area. When she’s not at the rink, Julie enjoys gardening, cozy bonfires, laughing at her Pinterest fails, and savoring a good glass of wine.

Toby came to Northwestern Mutual in 2001, shortly after graduating from Wheaton College. As a Wealth Management Advisor with Northwestern Mutual-Chicago, he specializes in guiding individuals, families, and business owners through all stages of wealth management and preservation.

Toby resides in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago with his wonderful wife, Cassie, and their five children. He values spending quality time with friends, family, and is also an active member of his church community.

Rachel joined Northwestern Mutual in 2023, bringing her expertise to her role in scheduling and team support. Before this, she built a strong foundation as an Accountant in the non-profit sector.
A lifelong resident of Illinois, Rachel currently resides in Lincoln Square. In her free time, she enjoys exploring nearby hiking trails or enjoying a quiet evening with a good book.

Maelyn joined Northwestern Mutual-Chicago in 2017 after graduating from Wheaton College. After 6 years of leading recruiting and career development initiatives in the wealth management industry, Maelyn now serves as our team’s Marketing and Client Service Associate. With a passion for building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service, she plays a key role in supporting clients’ financial goals while enhancing our practice’s marketing initiatives. 

Outside of work, you’ll find Maelyn either gardening, working on house projects, or hosting dinner parties.
